I like the intro!! I definitely liked the end of the podcast better when Adam was making fun of Bret Michaels and the skanks and Bret’s whole premise of the show. That’s what he’s best at- give him a topic and he can find something to make fun of. I’m rather tired of his rants on his childhood and the apartment with Donny and the dildo landlord, etc., and his deadbeat parents who never fed him.

Now for the complaining part –
I’m one of the people that don’t like the intro, and I’ll tell you why. First, since you never talk about anything topical on the podcast and there seem to be lots of old stories from the eighties (which is a problem in itself), to have a “theme song” from 1982 is kind of fucked out, as you like to say. Second, I don’t care if Kimmel’s brother did the intro, it sucks and is cheesy and NOT anything you want to hear time and again. Ace I know you have good taste in music – all the stuff in The Hammer was great, so why have some old Cars song and a guy sounding pompous and annoying be the kick-off for the show? I think most of us start every podcast going, “Ugh, I hate this…” Come on bro, it’s the 21st century!

1. Although I’m someone who doesn’t care much about sound quality, as long as I can hear the rarest thing in the world -great talk entertainment- clearly a lot of other listeners care, so thanks for listening to them and improving mic quality.
2. This is something I care a lot about. Thanks for reigning Donny/The Wheeze in a little bit. Really, he should regulate himself. I’m sure he’s a talented editor, and a great lifelong friend, but there’s a reason he’s not on other top-rated podcasts, etc. Your line “What are you, going for your SAG card, now?” was perfect. I wish he’d just read this and reign himself in, though. So we can listen to you be funny and entertaining.
3. I don’t recall hearing the standard opening. If you dropped it, thank you. It doesn’t bother me personally, but like I said, I think it sends the wrong message about the level of quality of your podcasts. You starting off by saying “Get it on”, or just introducing your guest, or just some cool music would all send a superior message to first time listener in my opinion as a fan.
4. I disagree with fans critical about your “journey” question. Those who want you to do rants, bits, or just be funny instead don’t get that these questions are a springboard towards you ranting and being funny in a natural organic way. I say trust your instincts on what’s funny and appealing and interesting -not ours.
5. I have no complaint about the quality of the guests. Obviously you can’t fill the podcast with Alist celebrities 5 days per week -but a good percentage are talented unknown comediens and entertainers, and that’s appreciated.
6. I appreciate your attempt to double book on this broadcast. If a guest doesn’t show up, don’t sweat it. Just print out the top google news stories, riff on those, or whatever’s on your mind.

Anyone else think it’s a little weird that Adam has made the podcast like “Inside the Actors Studio” for guest that will never be on “Inside the Actors Studio”? It is good but not the direction I thought it would go. I would like a little of the old show incorporated in this podcast. Like rants about the news and topical stuff. I like the old stories but they make up every podcast, a little variety would be nice. The podcast was good but the show was great, especially in podcast form like I used to get it. A combo of the 2 would be hands down the best podcast around. I guess the podcast’s financial situation makes that impossible.
